Privacy
Untitled is a reading and publishing layer for serialized books. Patreon handles memberships and payments; Untitled does not take a cut of pledges and does not process card payments in Phase 1.
What we store
- Account profile (display name, optional bio, avatar URL) linked to your Patreon identity when you connect.
- Author manuscripts: books, chapters, tier → reading-window mappings you configure.
- Reader library state: progress, notes, and typo flags you create while reading.
- Membership snapshots from Patreon (tier labels and validity) so we can open the right chapters.
- Patreon OAuth tokens on the server so we can refresh membership — never exposed to the browser.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not run marketplace ads against your reading history.
- We do not receive or store Patreon payment card details — Patreon remains the merchant of record.
Notes and typo flags
By default, reader notes are visible to the author of the book (not to other readers). Typo flags go to the author's inbox so they can resolve or dismiss them. You can ask us to delete notes or flags tied to your account.
Exportability
Authors can download their manuscripts as Markdown ZIP archives from Author Desk. Exportability is a standing principle: your patrons and your words remain yours.
Cookies and session
We use an httpOnly session cookie after you sign in (Patreon, magic link, or email). It identifies your Untitled profile; it is not used for third-party advertising.
